Charities

Once we have covered our race cost with the help of corporate sponsorships, we will start a public fundraiser. All money raised from the fundraiser, the sale of our boat after the race and further sponsorships will go towards our chosen charities. We are aiming to raise 150.000 EUR for charity.

With 150.000 EUR to split between our two charities, we would be able to fund projects such as:

• Renovating three schools, kindergartens or libraries in rural Bali.

• Providing sponsorship for five school children from poor backgrounds in Bali until they finish.

• Equipping 30 school children with a backpack filled with school supplies for one year.

• Funding three recycling Swopshops in Zanzibar for one year.

• Funding three regional Ozeankind bases for one year.

Bali Children’s Project

Bali is known for its unreal surf spots down in Uluwatu, the neverending beaches along Canggu and Seminyak and the beautiful nature up in Ubud. But there is another side to Bali. Poverty is common, particularly in remote communities beyond the reach of tourists. Many people live in rundown houses and have to work all day out in the rice fields for a small salary.

Bali Children’s Project is a registered non-profit organisation based in Bali Indonesia. It is their mission to provide education for children from poor backgrounds. They offer sponsorship for school children, sex education workshops and the renovation of schools and libraries in rural Bali that are in bad condition. Their incredible team has repeatedly enabled children to build a better future for themselves.

With your help, we will be able to open Bali’s first NOT TODAY SCHOOL.

Ozeankind e.V.

With the help of recycling and educational projects for children, Ozeankind advocates nationally and internationally for higher awareness of the use of disposable plastic. It is their vision to enable our children to enjoy the same beautiful blue planet that we love so much.

Among other projects, Ozeankind runs Recycling Swopshops in Zanzibar where children can collect points by collecting plastic waste and redeem them later for school supplies or other gifts. They have also multiple Ozeankind bases in Germany where local cleanups and workshops are organised.
